The film is rated R but it was first categorized as NC-17 by the MPAA because of an eight-minute food orgy scene.

The animated film tells the story of grocery store food finding out what happens to them in the real world where they are chopped up, boiled and cooked so they can be eaten by people. Seth Rogen’s dark comedy “ Sausage Party” hits theaters this weekend.
